Pininfarina Battista Electric Hypercar to Debut in March at Geneva Motor Show

Automobili Pininfarina has announced March 4, 2019 to be the official global reveal date of its electric hypercar Battista. The car will be unveiled at an event in Geneva. The Battista is expected to make public appearance the next day at the Geneva Motor Show.

Besides, Automobili Pininfarina has also declared the names and other details related to the first phase of retail specialists being appointed under their global network.

Automobili Pininfarina CEO Michael Perschke, said that they are very dedicated towards their customer journey, and similarly their retail specialists also stand up to their promise and share their passion for  Pininfarina’s provenance and what wonders electrification can do in a luxury brand.

According to Perschke, their retail specialists will serve as evangelists for the brand. Initially, for the first 150 clients of Battista, the company has 20 to 25 worldwide touchpoints. He added that when the range will grow, they will add more retail specialists while retaining exclusivity.

The all-electric hypercar Battista features a full carbon fiber construction, as carbon fiber showcases exceptional properties, including, great mechanical characteristics, affordability, low moisture absorption and high temperature resistance, to name a few.  As per a recent Fact.MR study, revenues from global sales of carbon fiber are expected to surpass US$ 5,500 Mn by the end of 2026.

The company has claimed that the electric motors embedded to propel the hypercar will produce a total maximum output of 1,900 horsepower & 2,300Nm of torque, with 0-100km/h likely to take under 2 seconds and 0-300 km/h would be achievable within 12 seconds. The batteries used in Battista have been claimed to be highly capable of delivering a range of 450 kilometres.

For now, the company has made just limited numbers of Battista, 150, wherein, 50 will be allocated to North America, 50 to be kept for Europe, and 50 will be distributed in Middle East and Asian markets, in 2020.
